What Is a Pacemaker?

The question that is on everybodies mind:
How much do I save with GEICO car insurance? What is a pacemaker? Well you can click the artical above and find out yourself or you can stick around and I will briefly describe it to you. Say you just had a heart attack and you now developed Arrhythmias, this is a condition where your heart rate beats too fast or too slow or just an irregular rythem. This is bad for you because the flow of blood to your body will decrease causing some problems such as fatigue, shortness of breath or fainting. In serious cases it will damage vital organs and could result in death! (Dun Dun Duuuuun!) This is where doctors come in handy and theyll put in what this thing is called a "pacemaker". So this little device is put into your chest or abdomen and it helps to control the beats of the heart. It does this by low-electrical pulses that are sent out and pulse the atria and ventrical chambers of the heart at a proper speed to pump blood normally. Pacemakers also have multiple functions such as being able to monitor and record the rythme and electrical activity of your heart. This is a bonus of the pacemaker, kind of like air conditioning in a car, but not as cool (pun intended). Pacemakers can also be perminent or temporary, depends on how messed up your heart is.
So in my own life I eat really unhealthy foods. Chips for breakfast, candy bars for lunch and greasy fast food for supper. I was thinking that I should slow down and take a change of diet incase I suffer from a heart attack due to my arteries getting all gloggy and what not. But I say the hell with that idea! Theres pacemakers that can take care of me afterwords, unless if I die from said heart attack, then in that case......I REGRET NOTHING!!!!!
I was curious about these "pacemakers" since we watched that video about circulatory system in class and it had that guy on there who had the heart attack.
As for my conclusion I say LET THEM EAT CAKE.....and let the pacemaker worry about the heart afterwords.
